A heartbreaking loss for the Redskins gets worse. Starting running back Chris Thompson got rolled up while pass blocking for QB Kirk Cousins. He has been diagnosed with fibula fracture that will need surgery to repair. He will be lost for the season after getting carted off the field vs. the New Orleans Saints. A glimmer of hope though in redskins backup RB Samaje Perine. He rushed for 117 yards on 23 attempts and a touchdown, as well as a catch for 9 yards. A player that has had trouble getting it going this year, will now be relied upon heavily with the loss of Thompson. Thompson was a RB 1 so far this year, so this will hurt any playoff contender that owns him. If not already owned in your league, Perine is a must add in all formats this week, especially with the often injured Rob Kelley out as well. Tough blow for the Redskins and all owners of Thompson.
